Portugal lost to France in the semi-final…oh well, it was a nice ride while it lasted. If you ask me, they were on borrowed time anyway, they should have probably been eliminated by England.
Besides, a Portugal-Italy final would have meant total chaos in Toronto, at least now we only have to put up with the Italy fans.
Now that my team is out I hope France takes it—anyone but the Italians. I love them to death, but if they win it all, we won’t hear the end of it for a very long time. We’re still hearing about their win in 1982!
The French are too snooty to gloat, they’ll just be content walking around knowing they’re the best—much like they do already.
