The Argonauts are floundering a bit since their home opener last month. They went on the road for two games against the Blue Bombers and the Lions and lost them both.
Ricky Williams didn’t do much in Winnipeg, but bounced back and had 90+ yards in BC.
This Saturday they’re back home for a rematch against the Bombers and I’ll be in attendance. Hopefully I’ll see a better result.
In other CFL news, yesterday it was announce that commissioner Tom Wright will not seek a contract extension amidst speculations that he didn’t have the support of a few of the CFL governors.
During his tenure, the league has grown stronger and stronger, especially in the weaker Eastern markets (with the exception of Ottawa, of course). Toronto, Hamilton and Montreal have become solid franchises once again. It was Wright’s unwavering common sense and integrity that helped the league grow to the point where they’re talking expansion, instead of contraction, and so, it would only make sense that now he be pushed out of his position right? Huh?!
What the FUCK is wrong with the governors of the CFL?! Why are they pushing this guy out letting this guy go?! It is this kind of stupidity that almost killed the league in the 80’s and 90’s. I can see it happening again…they’re going to hire some bonehead yes-man who will bend over backwards and lick their collective scrotums for the privilege of being the one at the helm when the CFL ship sinks.
Am I being overly dramatic? We’ll see…
That’s it for now, I know I’ve fallen behind on my posting, hopefully I can resume a more regular schedule next week.

What are you thinking?
